We are taking extra precautions to keep our guests safe and healthy. We contacted the governor's office regarding opening a live performance venue... and they indicated that as long as we follow their guidelines for theaters and non-essential businesses, we are allowed to operate.
In light of their recommendations, we will be doing the following:
The wearing of masks is not mandatory, but is recommended - especially for guests who may be at a higher risk.
Attending and participating in a show at the Dahlonega Magic Theater is voluntary and at your own risk.
We will continue to follow the guidance of the state health organizations.
If you have any questions, feel free to call Jeff Knight at 770-375-6486. If for any reason you don't feel comfortable coming to a live show with an audience of 20 or 25 people, then please feel free to stay home. We'll be here through December...and again next spring... so come on by to see the show once you feel comfortable and want to enjoy a fun show.
In light of their recommendations, we will be doing the following:
- We will work to keep parties of patrons 6 feet apart.
- No party seated together may number more than ten individuals.
- We will sanitize seats, armrests, rails, doors, doorknobs and door handles and other surfaces before and after each show.
- We will have tape on the floors at our ticket counter to help with social distancing and we do ask guests to help with this.
- Our restroom and other surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected before and after each show.
- We will screen our workers for any symptoms of Covid-19.
- We do ask that guests who have any type of flu or cold-like symptoms to stay home.
- During our show, we normally include several volunteers... we have made several adjustments in our show to utilize volunteers in a safe and fun manner. Volunteering is certainly not mandatory nor necessary to enjoy the show.
- We have hand-sanitizer dispensers in the theater and lobby.
- We are not currently offering close-up magic before the show, as we normally do.
- We are also increasing the distance between our stage and our guests to maintain the appropriate social distance.
